Arotinolol
L'arotinolol (commercialisé sous le nom Almarl) est un médicament ayant une action à la fois alpha-bloquantes et bêta-bloquantes[2]. Il est également agoniste des récepteurs β3-adrénergiques[3]. Une publication de 1979 suggère que l'arotinolol a été décrit pour la première fois dans la littérature scientifique par Sumitomo Chemical, en tant que « composé β-bloquant et antiarythmique S-596 »[4]. Il est commercialisé au japon depuis 1986[5],[1].

L'arotinolol n'est pas commercialisé en France[6], ni en Suisse[7], ni en Belgique[8].
Utilisations médicales
modifierIl est utilisé dans le traitement de l'hypertension artérielle [9] le tremblement essentiel[10],[11], l'arythmie et la tachycardie[5]. La posologie recommandée est de 10 à 30 mg par jour. Il pourrait être utile pour le traitement de l'insuffisance cardiaque, comme l'est le nébivolol avec lequel il partage plusieurs propriétés, notamment l'agonisme β3[12].
