Benoît Boulanger est un physicien français, né le 22 septembre 1961 à Metz. Depuis 2000, il est conjointement professeur à l’Université Grenoble-Alpes (anciennement Université Joseph Fourier) et chercheur CNRS à l’Institut Néel où il dirige les travaux en matière d’optique non linéaire paramétrique. Benoît Boulanger a soutenu sa thèse^[3] en 1989 à l'Université de Nancy, sous la direction de Jean Protas.

Biographie et carrière

Ses principaux travaux concernent l'optique non linéaire cristalline, depuis la croissance des matériaux, la modélisation des symétries et les méthodes de mesure des distributions angulaires jusqu’aux dispositifs optiques non linéaires, permettant d'obtenir des solutions pratiques à partir de concepts fondamentaux^[4].

1993 : Médaille de bronze du CNRS^[5]
2009 : Prix de la Fondation iXCore pour la recherche^[5]
2026 : co-lauréat (avec Guy Millot) du Grand Prix Léon Brillouin de la Société Française d’Optique^[4]
