English: Dendrobaena octaedra (Savigny, 1826) collected by Tauni L. Rodgers in Bethel Alaska (USA) (approx 25-30 ft from roadside, on edge of enclosed yard lawn), preparated by Derek S. Sikes and identified by Tyler Baumann
Remarks: "My family has occasionally come across earthworms in Bethel. The first worms we saw in Bethel was about 10 years ago when we were cutting logs for our smokehouse. They were under the cottonwood logs we were sawing. I thought it a odd occurrence but didn’t think much of it. This summer there was a noticeable difference. We saw them on the side of highway at the end of the airport after a rain, in a potato garden we put in downtown, and quite a few under logs in my yard. The distance of these areas spans almost the width of Bethel (downtown to past the airport)."- T. Rodgers (a lifelong resident of Bethel).
