English: Mutations in the fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 (FGFR 3) gene (above) have been linked to achondroplasia, or dwarfism. Sperm analysis shows that mutations associated with dwarfism gradually increased by about two per cent for every year of age.
Français : On a récemment montré que des mutations dans le gène porté par le spermatozoïde et codant pour le récepteur du facteur de croissance des fibroblastes 3 (FGFR 3) étaient corrélées au risque d'achondroplasie ou de nanisme. Le nombre de spermatozoïdes porteur d'un ADN dégradé, et présentant les mutations associées au nanisme augmentent progressivement avec l'âge, au rythme d'environ 2% de plus pour chaque année d'âge. |
