| Description |
English: A plan for changes in the "Formal Garden" at the country estate 'Oldfields' (Olmsted job # 6883) Indianapolis, Indiana. A part of the landscape design to develop the entire 26 acre property. This project of Olmsted Brothers Landscape Architects (OBLA) was coordinated by Percival Gallagher, lasting from 1920 to 1927. The estate was originally owned and built by Hugh McKennan Landon; sold to Josiah Kirby Lilly, Jr., in 1932; and after his death, donated to the Indianapolis Museum of Art in 1967. This was scanned by Geoff Vonburg from a drawing obtained from the Olmsted archives, National Park Service |
