Multicherry (uploader) says: "This is a video games console, probably from the late 1970s or thereabouts. It came with a cartridge of 10 Pong-derived games, although apparently others were available (I never had any). Prinztronic and Prinz were (I believe), an own-brand of the Dixons electronics chain in the UK during the 1970s. (Dixons' UK stores themselves have now been rebranded as "Currys Digital"). "
Arosio Stefano adds : "As stated here[1] and here[2] Multicherry's cart was based around the AY-3-8610 chip and the console doesn't have a central CPU because every cartridge contains a General Instruments (GI) chip AY-3-86xx or AY-3-87xx (Pong on a chip). These chips contain most of the game system circuits. So we can say that the console belongs to the first era of consoles."
Lit with flash and daylight. Significantly modified in Photoshop as described elsewhere.
Cette image a été retouchée, ce qui signifie qu'elle a été modifiée par ordinateur et est différente de l'image d'origine. Liste des modifications : This image has been significantly photomanipulated to even out the lighting across the console, and also to remove the white cloth background, which was imperfect enough to be distracting.
IMHO it looks *vaguely* cut-out (cheesy) and slightly unconvincing with the bright-white background and no shadows. However, it wasn't an outstanding photo in the first place, and I'll probably rephotograph it if I want it done better. Shadow now added, noticeably improved (if still not great).
The captive lead is left in place, as (photographed from that angle) it would almost always have been showing in real life..
