English: Right: This is the statue of princess "Doshafri", daughter of king Sanatruq I of Hatra (reigned c. 140-180 CE). Although the statue is somewhat weathered, it is an excellent example conveying the appearance of a Hatrene princess. The Mesopotamian god Shamash appears on the front aspect of her elegant headdress. The pieces of jewelry on the headdress, neck, arms, and fingers were carefully depicted. Made of limestone. The overall depiction of the attire and pieces of jewelry are very similar to her mother's one (on the right, not shown), although it is smaller; it seems that the same sculptor did both statues and both of them were found in the 5th temple at Hatra.
