English: Designed in 1953 and worn by the standard bearers at the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the Chief's Own sett and was registered in Lord Lyon Court Book no.10 on 18th August 1960 by the Rt Hon Earl of Lauderdale, chief of the name and arms of Maitland. Only available through the Chief (Email: chief@clanmaitland.org.uk). This sett shows the increased proportions of green and blue of the manufactured tartan. The Lyon Court Book (entry number 10) gives the largest green 18 threads and the blue only 16.
