AWIB-ISAW: The Capital at Dougga (VII)
The capital at the Roman city of Dougga, Tunisia, viewed through the standing stone doorway of the Dar Lacheb to the south. The capital was a temple dedicated to the protective triad of Jupiter Optimus Maximus, Juno Regina, and Minerva Augusta. The building known as the Dar Lacheb is a structure of unknown purpose, though some scholars suggest it to be a sanctuary to Asclepius. by Graham Claytor (2007)
