English: U.S. Navy Lt. Bradley Snyder, assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group 2 at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Va., poses for a photo before the Paralympic Games Aug. 29, 2012, in London. Snyder, a member of the 2012 Paralympic swim team, lost both eyes in the explosion of an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan in 2011. The Paralympics is a major international sporting event in which thousands of athletes, including wounded and injured U.S. Service members, participate in a variety of sporting events.
