Gymnogeophagus est un genre de poissons Perciformes néotropicaux qui appartient à la famille des Cichlidae.
Répartition
modifierLes 20 espèces de ce genre se rencontrent en Amérique du Sud, elles sont réparties dans une large zone comprenant le Sud du Brésil, l'Uruguay, une partie du Paraguay et le Nord-Est de l'Argentine.
