Night of Champions (2026)
L'édition 2026 de Night Of Champions (commercialisé sous le nom de Night of Champions: Riyadh) est un Premium Live Event de catch (lutte professionnelle) produit par la World Wrestling Entertainment, une fédération de catch américaine qui est télédiffusée et visible en paiement à la séance sur Netflix. L'événement aura lieu le au Kingdom Arena à Riyad, en Arabie Saoudite. Il s'agit de la douzième édition de Night of Champions.

Contexte
modifierLes spectacles de la World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) sont constitués de matchs aux résultats prédéterminés par les scénaristes de la WWE. Ces rencontres sont justifiées par des storylines – une rivalité avec un catcheur, la plupart du temps – ou par des qualifications survenues dans les shows de la WWE telles que Raw, SmackDown. Tous les catcheurs possèdent une gimmick, c'est-à-dire qu'ils incarnent un personnage gentil (Face) ou méchant (Heel), qui évolue au fil des rencontres. Un événement comme Night of Champions est donc un événement tournant pour les différentes storylines en cours[3],[4].
Seth Rollins contre Bron Breakker
modifierLe à Backlash, Bron Breakker bat Seth Rollins[5]. Le à Raw, The Visionary prend sa revanche sur son adversaire[6]. Quatorze soirs plus tard à Raw, dans une promo vidéo, il défie son ancien protégé dans un Steel Cage match au PLE, ce que ce dernier, dans une promo vidéo, accepte et le match est officialisé[7].
Tiffany Stratton (c) contre Jade Cargill
modifierLe à SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton devient la nouvelle championne des États-Unis en battant Giulia, remporte le titre pour la première fois de sa carrière et son 3e titre personnel[8]. Le à SmackDown, Jade Cargill la défie pour sa ceinture au PLE, ce qu'elle accepte plus tard[9].
Trick Williams (c) contre Ricky Saints
modifierLe à Backlash, Trick Williams, le champion des États-Unis, conserve son titre en battant Sami Zayn[5]. Le à SmackDown, Ricky Saints bat Carmelo Hayes et devient aspirant no 1 à sa ceinture au PLE[9].
Cody Rhodes (c) contre Gunther contre Sami Zayn
modifierLe à Clash in Italy, Cody Rhodes, le champion incontesté, conserve son titre en battant Gunther de manière controversée[10].
