The Small Projects Team is a humanitarian non-governmental organization (NGO) focused on supporting vulnerable communities, particularly in conflict-affected areas in Ukraine. Founded with a mission to empower local populations and provide essential resources, the organization has been active in various Ukrainian regions, where it has established programs to assist children, families, and low-income groups affected by the ongoing conflict.

Mission

The mission of The Small Projects Team is to provide immediate support and sustainable aid to communities in need. By collaborating with local organizations and international partners, the NGO aims to create targeted solutions that address educational needs, access to technology, and essential resources for daily life.

Amputee football support

As part of its mission to support communities affected by conflict, The Small Projects Team has launched an amputee football program to provide opportunities for individuals who have lost limbs due to conflict-related injuries. By partnering with local organizations and sports professionals, The Small Projects Team provides support to the creation of amputee football in all the country.

Other programs and Activities

The Small Projects Team operates several ongoing initiatives in Ukraine and other regions, including:

Baby Boxes for Mothers and Newborns: In collaboration with the Volunteering and Help Center and with financial support from Actions santé femmes, The Small Projects Team distributes baby boxes filled with essentials for newborns and mothers in villages near the front line in Donbass. This project aims to deliver 1,000 boxes over 12 months.
Computer Donation Programs: The organization facilitates the distribution of computers donated by companies through the NGO Action numérique solidaire. These computers are provided to schools and low-income families, helping bridge the digital divide in areas with limited access to technology.
Library Projects for Children: In partnership with local associations like You Too, The Small Projects Team has donated books to create libraries in centers for vulnerable families, aiming to enhance access to education and promote literacy in challenging environments.
Support for Schools and Safe Spaces: The organization has equipped primary schools in small villages with computers and has also provided board games and books for air raid shelters to support children’s mental well-being during conflicts.

Union of Help to Kherson: A Ukrainian organization focused on providing support in conflict-affected regions. Together, they implement programs for child safety, education, and access to resources.
Action numérique solidaire: A French NGO that donates computers to support educational initiatives and bridge technology gaps in underserved areas.
Actions santé femmes: A French NGO providing financial assistance for projects supporting mothers and newborns.

Recent Initiatives

Since the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, The Small Projects Team has expanded its operations to include the following recent initiatives:

Educational Technology Access: Donation of computers and digital resources to schools in remote or war-impacted areas, such as the Ivankiv region, enabling children and families to stay connected and access educational materials.
Child-Focused Programs in Kharkiv: In Kharkiv, The Small Projects Team has partnered with local centers to distribute books to vulnerable children and families, fostering a safe and educational environment.
Emergency Resources in Air Raid Shelters: Recognizing the importance of mental health and well-being for children during wartime, the organization has equipped air raid shelters with games and books, creating safe recreational spaces.
