My name is Adama Diop. I was born and raised in the village of Agnam-Goly in Senegal. I studied English at Cheikh Anta Diop public university of Dakar and specialized in English-French translation. I am also the author of the popular wikipedia site about my village, and the Agnam-Goly official website where I shared with tons of people our history, social organization, geography, economy, culture, etc. Currently, I am studying in Canada where I hope to obtain the business skills necessary to contribute to the economic development and growth of my home community.

- I founded the Pellital Microfinance Institution ([1]) and the SmarterVillage project because I am passionate about helping to elevate my home community out of poverty and believe that people from within are the best drivers of change.

- I founded the Smarter Village project ([2]), aimed at developing social and economic infrastructure in Agnam-Goly. And our mission is to implement the following projects: Cyberspace centre, Smokeless stove manufacturing, Drip irrigation system for gardening, Remote landfill for recycling and handling garbage, Sourcing health equipment for the maternal centre, and Computer Lending Library Depot.

- I founded the SamaXarit Network ([3]), the first social networking of Senegal as to make information more available to senegalese.

Je m'appelle Adama Diop. Agnam-Goly [4] est mon beau village que j'aime beaucoup...!

Je suis un Etudiant/Entrepreneur, fondateur de SamaXarit, 1er réseau social du Sénégal ([5])et de Pellital Microfinance Institution ([6]).

Je suis actif dans le développement endogène de mon village (Agnam-Goly). Je suis porteur de projets socio-économiques et d'actions entrepreneuriales notamment l'ouverture virtuelle d'une Institution de Microfinance (Pellital) pour venir en aide aux femmes entrepreneuses de Agnam-Goly à se lancer dans des activités génératrices de revenus. Pellital est un trait d’union entre internautes solidaires du monde entier et des femmes rurales d’Afrique qui n’ont pas accès au crédit bancaire. SmarterVillage [7] est un autre projet de développement social et économique de Agnam-Goly qui ambitionne la mise en place d’un cyberspace, la formation en informatique, une gestion responsable des ordures, soutien aux entrepreneurs pour ne citer que quelques unes de nos ambitions. Tous ces projets me serviront d'expérience pour vulgariser l'entrepreunariat social dans ma communauté.

Chacun est pour quelque chose pour le développement de sa localité. En fait, par de petits gestes et par amour pour sa localité- participation, dynamisme, engagement, initiative, motivation et leadership- il est possible de participer concrétement au développement socio-économique de Agnam-Goly par le canal de l'entrepreunariat social, auquel je crois très profondément. La tâche est loin d'être facile mais le but est digne d'efforts, n'est-ce-pas?
