Moi-même et l'astronomie

L'astronomie pour moi c'est une matière qui est plus proche du rêve et de l'émerveillement que de la science. L'astronomie n'est pas la première vraie science sans raison. Les hommes d'autre fois on dût y voir la même chose que moi en regardant l'immensité d'un ciel étoilé, c'est à dire ce sentiment que l'on a lorsque l'on est nez à nez aux montagnes Rocheuses, un sentiment de petitesse extrême. Il est difficile de ne pas s'y pencher pour mieux comprendre notre place dans cet univers. Le ciel est une terre fertile pour le rêve, les constellations en sont une preuve. Fait intéressant, plus nous en apprenons sur l'univers et plus nous sommes ignorant (autre que la réponse à la grande question sur la vie, l'univers et le reste est 42). C'est un mélange de cette beauté caractéristique et des interactions d'une magnitude plus qu’incroyable qui me fait aimer l’astronomie. Je vous laisse ainsi avec trois citations préférés de Douglas Adams de son œuvre "H2G2" (en anglais je suis désolé).

-“Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.”
