ITV News Channel is an defunct news channel launched in August 1, 2000. It was closed on December 23, 2005 and replaced by ITV4 (2005) and CITV (2006). It was like the November 1, 2005 rebrand of ITV, which was retired in 2013. ITV News is still airing while the ITV News Channel is not, ITV News Channel is a short-lived news channel broadcasting only with a period of 5 years from 2000 to 2005. Prior to its launch, ITV1 updated its idents in 1999. retiring the 1998 ITV1 idents.
