Nicolas Hidiroglou aka Hidiro is a French photographer, director and producer born in Paris.

In 2020, he published H-Pola 1 and 2, H-Contact 1 and 2 and H-Visions with Editions Noeve.

Nicolas Hidiro trained in film and photographic techniques with, among others, iconic operators Henri Alekan, who worked with Jean Cocteau and Wim Wenders, and Nestor Almendros, who worked with Truffaut, Eustache and Terrence Malick, opening up horizons and illuminating secrets.

After directing several short films, Nicolas turned to photography somewhat by chance. At the age of 25, Nicolas Hidiro signed his first cover for the mythical magazine "The Face", reserved at the time for leading photographers such as Nick Knight, David Sims, Karl Lagarfeld and David La Chapelle, bringing him fame and commissions in England, the USA, Germany, Japan and Italy for prestigious newspapers and clients. He has photographed influential personalities for the press, the music industry and the fashion world; Iggy Pop, François Mitterrand, Lauren Bacall, Robert De Niro, Carla Bruni, Amy Winehouse, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Prince, Laureen Hill, Patrick Modiano, Catherine Deneuve, Isabelle Huppert, Adrian Brody, Gérard Depardieu, Michel Houellebecq, Lana Del Rey and many others. At the time, he was the cover and press photographer for dafttrax, Daft Punk's label, and signed the cover of Homework.

The actors and artists he photographs love his pictures because of what he gets from them. The strength, beauty and simplicity he captures in each of them.

At the same time, he has directed films for renowned musicians and fashion designers such as Alain Baschung, Oxmo Puccino, Helmut Lang, Christophe Bevilaqua, Christian Lacroix, Nina Ricci and others.

From 2009 onwards, he worked on feature-length fiction films such as Bas-fonds and La Belle Occasion, for which he guided the form, direction and image: and which he co-produced.

He continued to cover magazines such as "Les Inrocks" and "Citizen K", and was responsible for the image and campaigns of the famous "J.M.WESTON" brand for many years.

In 2021, he signed Tselkov faces, a twilight film about the painter Oleg Tselkov. At the same time, he continues his photographic research and publishes books.
