Jean-Yves Lemoigne

JEAN-YVES LEMOIGNE (born 1975) is a french advertising and sport photographer and director based in New-York. He is a visual storyteller[1] and experimentation, interested in body in motion. That leads him to work for sport brands as well as fashion brands. He is exploring the boundaries between photo and film by creating original digital content like Gifs[2] and Cinemagraphs. He has worked with the top advertising agencies in the world.

His work has been exhibited in Paris in the Louvre Museum and the Palais de Tokyo.

Jean-Yves Lemoigne did a few conferences about his work, at the “Salon de la Photographie” porte de Versailles Paris, with Adobe at Gaité Lyrique Paris and the Paris Luxury Summit.

He has worked commercially as a photographer doing magazine and advertising campaign work since 2004.

Life and Work

Jean-Yves Lemoigne was born in 1975 in Tourcoing, France. He grew up in Lille. After Art studies and Graphic Design in Lille and Paris he started to work as an Art Director in DDB Paris for 5 years. In 2004 he started to work as an advertising photographer. He quickly got noticed for his narrative work. In 2005 he shooted a Volkswagen campaign that won 2 gold awards at the Cannes Lions Festival of Advertising. Those awards gave him a lot of exposure and then work in the advertising industry. He started then to work internationally for major brands like Cartier, Evian, Perrier[3][4], Puma, Sony.

Along side his commercial work Jean-Yves Lemoigne does editorials for major publication like Le Monde, The Guardian, GQ, Der Spiegel, New-York Magazine.
