Great Soppo is a locality of about 10,000-1,5000 inhabitants situated in the heart of the regional headquarters of Buea in the English-speaking South West Region of Cameroon, which lies near Mt. Cameroon and is close to Cameroon’s coastline. It is about 100 miles from Cameroon’s economic hub of Douala. Street 7 is a small street located in Great Soppo Buea, Cameroon precisely in the southwest region. This street 7 especially got its nick name "campaign street" from the numerous campaigns from various state officials around the early 2000s. The other streets were named in ascending order; That is street 1-8. The primary or dominant indigenous group in Great Soppo are the bakweri ethnic group. Great Soppo is a small informal business hub characterized by micro business entities such as tailoring workshops, foodstuffs, convenient stores, beauty salon, clothes shops, documentation services, carpentry workshop etc. Most micro-enterprises sell on the side of the road but there are traditional shops do exist within the town’s infrastructure.[2]In a nutshell, these streets are over a 50yrs old in the Great Soppo locality. modifier

Great Soppo Buea area GMT time is +1 hour and is mostly cloudy. It has an equatorial climate with 2 major seasons. Rainy season which runs from March to October and Dry season, from November to May). Temperature ranges between 20ºC to 28ºC while, annual rainfall ranges between 3000mm to 5000mm. The conditions here are generally the tropical rainforest climate with rainfall almost during the entire year. However, average monthly High/Low Temperature for these urban spaces ranges from 23 low to 32 high. This temperature increases as one moves downwards from Buea station to Muea. The principle of “higher one goes the colder it becomes” applies as the town and area is on the slopes of the mountain evident by its ascending nature.[3] modifier
