1-Heptène
Le 1-heptène est un composé organique de formule . Il s'agit de l'alcène terminal linéaire C7. Ce liquide volatil incolore est produit parmi de nombreux autres, par le procédé Fischer-Tropsch. Il est utilisé pour préparer le 1-Octène, un comonomère[4] courant. Il est classé comme oléfine supérieure, ou alcène, de formule C7H14.

On connaît quatre isomères du 1-heptène : le cis- et le trans-2-heptène ainsi que le cis- et le trans-3-heptène.
Production
modifierLe 1-heptène est un produit issu de la distillation du pétrole et entre dans la composition de l'essence. Il est également libéré en très faibles quantités par les arbres fruitiers en fleur, notamment les pommiers, les abricotiers, les cerisiers et les pruniers[5].
Utilisation
modifierLe 1-heptène est utilisé comme matière première dans les synthèses organiques, par exemple comme comonomère dans la fabrication du polyéthylène[6], ou dans la production d'aldéhydes linéaires par hydroformylation. L'hydroformylation en octanal, suivie d'une réduction en Octan-1-ol puis d'une déshydrogénation en 1-octène, sert à la production industrielle de 1-octène à une échelle de 100 000 t/an[7].
Consignes de sécurité
modifierLes vapeurs de 1-heptène forment avec l'air un mélange explosif (point d'éclair −8 °C, température d'inflammation 250 °C)[8]. L'ingestion et l'inhalation peuvent entraîner un danger de mort[8].
