Abdulaziz Abdul Ghani Ibrahim (en arabe : عبد العزيز عبد الغني إبراهيم), né en 1939 et mort le , est un historien et universitaire soudanais. Spécialiste de l’histoire du Golfe arabo-persique, des civilisations anciennes et de la péninsule Arabique, il est l’auteur de nombreuses publications consacrées à ces domaines.

Biographie

Abdulaziz Abdul Ghani Ibrahim (né en 1939 au Soudan) est un historien et universitaire soudanais, spécialiste de l’histoire du Golfe arabo-persique et de la péninsule Arabique.

Titulaire d’une maîtrise en histoire moderne obtenue en 1977 et d’un doctorat en 1980, il a enseigné dans plusieurs institutions et universités arabes. Il a notamment exercé à l’Université islamique Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud (1980-1991), à l’Université Al Neelain de Khartoum (1997-1999) et à l’Université des Émirats arabes unis (à partir de 2000).

Ibrahim a publié de nombreux articles dans des revues et magazines scientifiques, parmi lesquels le Journal of the College of Social Sciences de l’Université islamique Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud, la revue African Studies et le magazine Rawaq History and Heritage, édité par le Centre Hassan Bin Mohammed pour les études historiques[1],[2],[3].
