Explain yourself. You use armenin sources and don't allow to use Georgian? --Gaeser (d) 21 juin 2010 à 20:50 (CEST)Répondre

Also please explain why you have used revert instrument. There was no vandalism and you had no right to use it.--Gaeser (d) 21 juin 2010 à 20:59 (CEST)Répondre

Hi,
I have no specific knowledge on this article, but as a member of the Recent Changes monitoring team, my reverts were based on the add by a beginner on the French wikipedia of a long chain of non-latin characters : these cannot be read by others users and might be vandalism. On this specific article, the use in the references section of in Armenian and Georgian should be deleted. Indeed, even though we can use these references, they should be presented in French or at least in a latin-based alphabet that French users can read.

No problems then. Good luck.--Gaeser (d) 21 juin 2010 à 21:09 (CEST)Répondre
To answer your question about the number of sources necessary, we share with the English Wikipedia what I would call the Jimbo rule. Indeed, it is specified that : « If a viewpoint is in the majority, then it should be easy to substantiate it with reference to commonly accepted reference texts; If a viewpoint is held by a significant minority, then it should be easy to name prominent adherents; If a viewpoint is held by an extremely small (or vastly limited) minority, it does not belong in Wikipedia regardless of whether it is true or not and regardless of whether you can prove it or not, except perhaps in some ancillary article. ». But we do not have any rule about how many sources should be used. Colindla 21 juin 2010 à 21:37 (CEST)Répondre

Your are engaged in an edit war on the french speaking wikipedia, . If you are not able to contribute in french language, do not edit the articles (write your remarks on the talk pages). Do not even revert with edit's summaries in english, or you will be blocked. --Irønie (d) 22 juin 2010 à 09:39 (CEST)Répondre

WP:WEIGHT modifier

In french, there is the opposite of WP:WEIGHT -> WP:NPOV#La_neutralité_de_point_de_vue_n'est_pas_le_point_de_vue_de_la_majorité VarminUn problème? 22 juin 2010 à 12:29 (CEST)Répondre

Excuse me, maybe I am mistaken, but if I give a link on a yellow newspaper, will it be enough to write in the article that something for example, a donkey has become president of North Korea? Have I understood the rule exactly?--Gaeser (d) 22 juin 2010 à 12:46 (CEST)Répondre
There is also this rule WP:NPOV#La_neutralité_de_point_de_vue_n'est_pas_le_seul_principe_fondateur_de_Wikipédia VarminUn problème? 22 juin 2010 à 12:56 (CEST)Répondre
If so, translate this sentence : According to most of sources, Oshki monastery is Georgian, but there exist some sources which claim this monastery is armenian or Goergian-armenian. Quite neutral, isn't it?--Gaeser (d) 22 juin 2010 à 13:09 (CEST)Répondre
This is useless. The word arméno-géorgien is the summing up of what you say. If it is armenian according to some sources and georgian according to other sources, so it is arméno-géorgien. The best we can find is arméno-géorgien, because it sum up all. There is no use to change that. VarminUn problème? 22 juin 2010 à 13:40 (CEST)Répondre
And I forgot, but the word claim is POV (in this context). VarminUn problème? 22 juin 2010 à 13:42 (CEST)Répondre

And armeno-georgien is ORISS. Only ONE source claims it is armeno-georgian. ALL other sources say different things. --Gaeser (d) 22 juin 2010 à 13:44 (CEST)Répondre
