Korarchaeum cryptofilum

Candidatus Korarchaeum est un genre d'archées du phylum des Korarchaeota.

La seule espèce identifiée est Ca. Korarchaeum cryptofilum.

Étymologie

Le genre tire son nom du grec κόρος, kóros 'jeune garçon' suivi du terme archaeum 'archée' (nom neutre)^[3].

L'épithète spécifique cryptofilum suggère un 'fil caché'^[4].
