À propos de moi

I am Yaya Konaté a lawyer by training and human rights assistant.

I joined the Wikimedia community in 2023, following a training course organized by Basseratou Kindo, current president of the Association of Wikimedia Burkina Faso.

Since then, I have been actively involved in promoting the Wikimedia movement and sharing free knowledge through several national initiatives.

À propos de mon travail

I contribute to various Wikimedia projects, mainly Wikipedia, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Commons.

At the same time, I hold the position of Administrative Manager for Wikimedia Burkina Faso, where I support the coordination of user group activities.

I am also:

  • Coordinator of the Wiki Loves Africa campaign in Burkina Faso
  • Coordinator of the Wiki For Human Rights campaign in Burkina Faso

Through my work, I aim to increase Burkina Faso's visibility in Wikimedia projects and encourage the participation of young people and cultural actors in the free dissemination of knowledge.
