About me
Greetings, my name is Osama Eid. I work as an editor and reviewer on the Arabic Wikipedia and actively contribute to Wikimedia projects, participating in various Wikimedia initiatives. With extensive editing experience, I was once recognized as the youngest contributor to Wikimedia projects (My journey with Wikimedia started when I was just fifteen years old). I lead educational programs and maintain consistent and intensive contributions to the Wikimedia community. I am also an ambassador and the founder of the Arabic Wikimedia Technical Community. Additionally, I have established several communities affiliated with Wikimedia. I specialize in technical translation in Arabic, Spanish, and Azerbaijani. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Law and am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Law and Information Technology, specializing in Cybersecurity, at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences. I am passionate about the role of Wikimedia in promoting peace and human rights, and I firmly believe that Wikimedia has the potential to receive the Nobel Peace Prize one day.
My work
I am a founding member and an active member of the Wikimedia team in the Levant, and I launched the educational program in Palestinian universities, and worked to establish partnerships between the Wikimedia Group in the Levant and several organizations that support women’s rights, support digital rights, the right to access information and the right to free knowledge. I am active in Wikimedia projects and have authority on a number of projects, and my full contributions are to Arabic Wikipedia.
On a personal level; I am currently the ambassador of the Arabic Wikipedia Education Project in Palestine, and I discovered a vulnerability in Facebook in 2016 and my name was put on the list of vulnerabilities finders, and I made great contributions to the COVID-19 pandemic. I contribute to all Wikimedia projects, and focus mainly on combating vandalism and combating vandalism in all its forms.
