Timothée Chaillou is an art curator, art critic, art historian and film historian, specializing in contemporary art.
Biography modifier
Timothée Chaillou is a graduate of ICART (Institut supérieur des Carrières Artistiques, Paris),[1] of Paris III, of Paris VII and of the City University of New York.[2] He was a student of Vito Acconci, Jacques Aumont, Nicolas Bourriaud, Jean-Luc Chalumeau and Pierre Zaoui.
He is a member of AICA (International Association of Art Criticst),[3] IKT (International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art)[4] and CEA (Commissaires d'Exposition Associés).[5]
His exhibition reviews, essays and conversations have appeared in many catalogues, monographs and art magazines. He contributes to 20/27,[6] Art Présence, Artpress, ArtUS,[7] Double,[8] Dossier Journal,[9] ETC,[10] Flash Art International, Frieze, Hart,[11] L'art même,[12] L'Officiel Art,[13] Numéro,[14] Paddle8 and The White Review. He was guest editor in chief of Annual Magazine No. 5,[15] in 2012.
He's an art consultant for collectors, institutions (galleries and museums), companies and luxury brands.
He is a lecturer and teaches exhibition history and curating practices at IESA (Institut d’Études Supérieures d'Art)[16] and at ICART (Institut supérieur des Carrières Artistiques, Paris),[1]

Before his specialization in contemporary art, Timothée Chaillou was an opera singer (he appeared on the Chorégies d'Orange, Opera of Avignon[32] and Nîmes' Theater stages[33]), a model and an actor (he was a student of André Benedetto and several times he took part in Festival d'Avignon).
