gène de l'espèce Homo sapiens

La lyase 1 de sphingosine-1-phosphate (SGPL1 pour Sphingosine-1-phosphate lyase 1) est une enzyme permettant le catabolisme de la sphingosine-1-phosphate. Elle est codée par le gène SGPL1, situé sur le chromosome 10 humain.

Il module l'immunité cellulaire[5], inhibe la réponse inflammatoire et favorise la mobilisation des polynucléaires neutrophiles[6] et des lymphocytes[7]. Il intervient dans le métabolisme lipidique hépatique[8].

Il favorise l'apoptose via le P53 et le p38 et pourrait avoir un effet protecteur contre les cancers[9].

Une mutation du gène peut conduire à un déficit en sphingosine phosphate lyase, pouvant entraîner un syndrome néphrotique résistant aux stéroïdes, un déficit endocrinien et notamment une insuffisance surrénalienne, un déficit neurologique, une immunodéficience, des manifestations cutanées (ichtyose) et un retard de croissance[10],[11].
