Ruhuhucerberus (littéralement « Cerbère du Ruhuhu ») est un genre fossile de grands thérapsides gorgonopsiens ayant vécu durant la fin du Permien dans ce qui est aujourd'hui la Tanzanie et dont une seule espèce est connue, Ruhuhucerberus haughtoni.
Systématique
modifierL'espèce Ruhuhucerberus haughtoni a été décrite pour la première fois en 1950 par le paléontologue allemand Friedrich von Huene(1875-1969) sous le protonyme Aelurognathus haughtoni[1].
En 2002, le paléontologue Michael Werner Maisch (d) crée le genre Ruhuhucerberus et y classe cette espèce sous son taxon actuel[2].
